Cuban Freedom March and promoters of Cuba Decide, are proud to announce a commemoration event marking the 3rd anniversary of the July 11th mass protest. This event will be held on Thursday, July 11th, at 9:00 AM at the Ermita de la Caridad, located at 3609 S Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33133.
The commemoration aims to honor the bravery of the Cuban people who took to the streets on July 11, 2021, to demand freedom and regime change towards democracy. The event is a call for continued efforts toward achieving democracy in Cuba and will include a prayer for immediate and unconditional liberation of political prisoners.
Rosa María Payá, founder of the Cuba Decide initiative, said, “On this third anniversary of the July 11th mass protests, we celebrate the courage of our people and demand the liberation of the more the one thousand who remain imprisoned for taking to the streets in 2021 and the years after. There is a before and after July 11, 2021. We, Cubans, know that to get out of the crisis we need to get rid of the dictatorship. We call on the international community to walk with us towards a democratic Cuba.”
