DEFENSA CD LAUNCH:

New independent repression monitoring organization in Cuba debuts in Miami and invites IACHR Commissioner, José Daniel Ferrer, and Rosa María Payá to its launch.

WHAT:

Official presentation of DEFENSA CD, a new independent organization that marks the evolution of the historic Center for Denunciations of the Pan-American Foundation for Democracy (PFD). DEFENSA CD will expand its work with a Religious Freedom Observatory, consolidating itself as a key platform for documenting, monitoring, and denouncing repression in Cuba, as well as providing direct protection and accompaniment to victims. The event will include the announcement of its new governing structure and lines of work, in addition to analysis on the critical moment Cuba is currently facing regarding human rights.
